Q: OK to Compress C Drive?
Is
it OK or preferable to compress the C drive? I want to install a tax program,
but there isn't enough free space available for the installation. What is the
downside or danger of compressing the C or any other drive? Are there
certain precautions to take prior to starting the compression process? I am
running Windows 95 with a 1GB hard drive.
Thanks!
A: OK to Compress C Drive?
I
suggest you open DriveSpace and then read over the Help section or go to Start,
Help and search for DriveSpace.
There is always a risk when you do anything with your computer. So, always
backup your important data before you start the compressing.
Good luck.
Q: Locate Outlook Express Files
Where do I go if I want to back up OE-I know you have to drill down several layers in windows to find out where the files for OE are located. You sent me an email on this once but I can't locate the email.
A: Locate Outlook Express Files
Here is where mine are located:
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{1B4FF220-8D84-11D3-A0C3-42FD30B807E}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Q: Send Mail in Outbox
My Pastor is just starting to use a computer. He has Outlook Express as his mail client. He is able to receive email but is unable to send it. Any idea as to why he can't send email? He writes the email but it stays in his outbox after he sends it.
A: Send Mail in Outbox
From the Menu Bar select:
Tools
Options
Send
Then click in the box that says Send Messages Immediately
Click Apply
Click OK
Now the email will be sent and not held in the Outbox.
