Q:        Fractions

How can I type out Fraction without looking like this (1/8)? Do I need to have special Software to do it?

A:         Fractions

Depending on which program you are using there are a couple of ways to accomplish this.

Widows has a built in utility named Character Map located under System Tools that will allow you to insert different symbols and characters. Like ½

Whether or not the symbol for 1/8 is there I don't know you will have to look for it.

Microsoft Word on the other hand makes it pretty easy to do this. Let me know if you are using MS Word and don't know how to use fractions.

Good luck.

Q:        Juno Deleting Mail & Folders

Dale, I'm sorry to bother you but need one question answered PLEASE. I've got the address book back
(Windows & Email) but Folders have become a problem.  I deleted a great deal and wanted to get "DELETED and SENT MSGS" out of the folders.  For some reason, I cannot delete these headings in the FOLDERS menu.

1. Select one or all of the messages you wish to delete.
(To select more than one message, hold down the Ctrl Key while selecting)

2. Click/Select on delete
3. Click/Select Yes to Are You Sure.............

To delete a folder do this:
1. Click/Select File
2. Click/Select Delete Folder
3. Click/Select the Folder you want to delete
4. Click/Select OK

Q:        Word Not Enough Memory Message

About six months ago, I had Word added to my Windows 95 program.  I haven't had any problems with it until this last week. When I try to enter the program, the following sentence appears on the screen:  There is not enough memory or disk space to run Word. I checked my memory and it is 82% free. Any suggestions?

A:         Word Not Enough Memory Message

First thing I would do is shut down my computer and then turn it back on. This little procedure often cures a multitude of problems.

It could be you need to create some space on your hard drive.

Do you know how to use Windows Explorer or My Computer?

There are a number of places where you can delete files from Folders and gain some space.

Try cleaning out your Recycle Bin, Temporary Internet Files and the Windows Temp Folder.

Shut down all other programs that are running.

Let me know what happens.

Q:        McAfee Update

My McAfee virus scan tells me that I need to up date the program...do I need to buy a new program? Should I get something different? Is there something I can buy through the Club Wed. night?

A:         McAfee Update

You don't have to buy anything.
What that means is you need to update the virus files. (They are called dat files)
You can do this by going to their web site or just choose update from within your program.
