Q: Removing Windows Password Dialog
Box
Reference Sep 2000 issue of PC Communicator, page 8. I have tried to remove
password box as described in last issue. Double clicking only brings up
Password Properties.
There
is no Select Change Windows Password as indicated.
I am frustrated. What am I doing wrong? Please help.
A: Removing Windows Password Dialog Box
When
the password box appears type in a new user name, tab to the password box but
don't do anything and then tab to the next box if it asks you to confirm the
password, again do nothing and tab to OK.
After your computer starts up, shut it down and then restart and see if the
little box goes away.
Q: Downloading/Printing
I was wondering if I can do anything else, (play a game) on my computer when it is downloading. Will it stop the download if I do another activity. Also what will happen if the printer is printing and I want to do something else? Do I have to wait until it stops printing? Thanks for your help.
A: Downloading/Printing
One of the great things about Windows is that you can do what is called multi-tasking.
That means that while you are downloading you can play a game or even surf around the web. (If you surf while downloading things will slow down since you are using the modem for two things.)
Printing is done in the background so you can use another application while you are printing. You can’t use the application that you are printing from but any other application is OK.
